I‘ve lost my little black Sony compact camera just before boarding the 6pm ferry from Gozo to Malta in March. It was lost either on the bus or on my way to board the ferry. I hope Someone decent found it and would return it to me. It hasn‘t just material value, but also sentimental as well and I‘ve got photos on it that relate to my work.:(

Like I said it‘s a Sony compact camera, with a rundown black „leather“ case and a black neckstrap(which once read Kodak).

Hi, I'm assisting a childhood and school friend with their family tree and his mum was born in Malta. She met his Dad while he was serving in the Royal Artillery during WW2 and they returned together to the UK when his service was at an end. Can anyone advise how to research a family name from Malta, specifically Valletta, to see if there is family still living there, or perhaps someone will know of his mum's family? Plus, an option to search Maltese records on Ancestry doesn't appear to be an option on the search filter. I can of course provide a name but wanted initially just to ask if this would be allowed. On my third trip to Malta, second to Gozo, I dropped my little bear-a very treasured travel companion of 21 years who was my Grandma's so my last link to her. I promised him I would keep him with me always and am terribly upset at losing him and worried for his safety. It was on 21/3 daytime, between 1-4 when in the places mentioned or in the HopOn/Off bus.I had to leave Malta at 3pm on 22/3 so couldn't get back to Gozo to search for him and couldn't stay in 21/3 as I had my elderly Mum with me and we had to catch the return ferry. I have checked with the bus company and il Gigantia site and he wasn't found so must be on the street or the Cathedral in Citadella ir on the street outside il Gigantia between the exit and bus stop by the entrance. I keep him safe in my bag normally but was distracted by looking after my 81 year old Mum in her first holiday for years and since we lost my Dad last year.In this past year Little Ted has been only more of a companion and source of comfort. Although it may seem silly, I think the deep level of sorrow is connected to the deep loss of my Dad as well as the connection to my Grandma, giving him a kiss each night as she did. I am aware there are far worse things happening in the world, its just this is such a deep loss so I thought I would try very hard to reach out and ask if anyone has seen or found my very special little bear.
