Hi, I'm assisting a childhood and school friend with their family tree and his mum was born in Malta. She met his Dad while he was serving in the Royal Artillery during WW2 and they returned together to the UK when his service was at an end. Can anyone advise how to research a family name from Malta, specifically Valletta, to see if there is family still living there, or perhaps someone will know of his mum's family? Plus, an option to search Maltese records on Ancestry doesn't appear to be an option on the search filter. I can of course provide a name but wanted initially just to ask if this would be allowed. Hi there, this is really a long shot, I know! but I'm looking for an old primary school friend, Anthea Heslop/Heslip who went to school with me in Bristol, England in the early 1970's. I remember her spending her summer holidays on Malta because her aunt lived there.

As I visit Malta myself quite often, and do not live in England any more, it would be such a wonderful coincidence if Anthea lived there.....

Please forgive me for not having any more information.

Lost an iphone 6s with a black case in Valletta yesterday (4th January 2023) around the Castille Square. If found please let me know.

Last night (Saturday 21st of May) during the carnaval event in the city centre of Valletta I lost my sunglasses. I guess that my sunglasses did fall out of my pocket.
I have walked a route on the Rebpulic Street between the Kon-Katidral ta' San Ġwann and Triton Fontain when I lost my sunglasses.

The sunglasses I have lost do have sentimental value to me.

Hi Malta.

We run a YouTube channel, but are not here to advertise it, so will not link or communicate it here. We are looking for Maltese residentsfor a story.

Our channel concentrates on the legalisation of Cannabis in the UK through comedy and sourced and substantiated fact. We also focus on Mental Health, as members of our team have clinical PTSD, anxiety and depression.

We produced a video a month ago, congratulating Malta for its sensible approach to legalising Cannabis. We would like to reach out and do another follow-on story, as we have received a few very positive messages from Maltese viewers on our first one.

This time we would like to actually get an opinion from those in Malta about the feeling and impact, both for and against.

We have only just started a few months ago and are not popular yet, but have a 12 months plan for 2022 to give it a good bash. We have no funders and whatever little is spent is out of our own pockets. We are hoping that without paying for advertising, we can start to have a voice through hard graft and patience.

Furthermore, we are not rich but have certain skills that collectively come together to overcome this somewhat.

Where there's a will, there's a way......

We are also not monetising or profiting from anything we do. We just want cannabis legalised in the UK for all the right reasons.....just like Malta has.

If anyone suffers from a mental health condition or has to live with chronic pain will know the relief cannabis brings to us. We would also like to address this as well, not just from our perspectives.

Hopefully we've given a small synopsis of our intention, transparency of what our request will be and hopefully showing the audience we are trying to be respectful and well-mannered on your forum. If we have failed anywhere, please accept our apologies in advance. We are trying to approach this the correct way.

If we could speak with admin and get them to proof read, and agree to the mail want to post, that would be great. We want to get off on the right foot and show the respect the forum deserves as we research this story.
