Pet friendly flats in Malta

Hi everybody,
I'm considering bringing my cat from UK to Malta, however I need to think about a couple of things.
Did anyone bring over their cat from UK to Malta (3hrs flight), I'm thinking about the stress he might have and the adjustment over there.
Are landlord happy to rent a flat to a family that has a cat? They aren't as pet friendly here in uk, so I wouldn't want to be difficult for us to find a place.
